The theatre choice to use
When the second heart fills and you accept the invitation to go to the theatre immediately, watch the early conversation after Art becomes a preference.
Choose the upper dialogue branch:
You’ve always struck me as a poet
The lower “humbling” branch can unintentionally lock the second heart in this situation. This particular bug does not explain every save where an Estelle event has not appeared.
Already locked? Windows workaround
This workaround is for a Windows save that has already passed the affected theatre scene.
- Close the game and find Save.lunne in Slot_0. See the Windows save path.
- Copy the file to a separate backup location before editing.
- Open the original in a text editor.
- Find Estelle’s record using this identifier:
effc1d56-d2a3-4fe5-bcb2-933781bdf8b5- Within that record, change relationshipLevelsLocked from true to false.
- Save the file and resume the game.
Do not replace every true in the file. This workaround allows later events to continue, but skips the theatre scene.
Consoles and patches
The Windows file edit is not a console recovery method. On consoles, use the theatre choice above before the affected scene. If the lock has already happened, this page does not offer an equivalent save-edit procedure.
The launch-period fix was announced for a later update. Switch timing was described as later than PC, with a target of the middle of the following week. Treat that as a release plan rather than confirmation that your installed version contains the fix.
